You Are Under No Obligation to be in The Holiday Spirit

holiday-cred

Just about Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! But for some of us it can be really hard to get into the holiday spirit. Things like grief, illness, finances, and other life circumstances can get in the way for people who celebrate the holidays.
If you just can’t bring yourself to care this year, that’s perfectly okay! Some of us might need to fake a smile for someone else’s benefit this weekend. Some of us might feel joyful and then guilty for feeling good when there is so much evil in the world. Some of us might have no idea what I’m talking about and be super excited for Christmas cookies and 8 days of presents. Good for you. Sincerely, that’s great. However you feel this holiday season is okay.
