You’re Not Going to Love Your Body All the Time

youre not going to love your body all the time

Just in case no one told you: even when you recover your relationship with your body, you’re not going to love it all the time. You’re not always going to feel good about yourself. Some days you’re going to feel uncomfortable and out of place. You’re going to want out of your body. Your body may not feel like your own on some days. And you’re going to have bad body image days where you feel like everyone is looking at you and judging the way you look.
That’s normal. And it doesn’t mean you haven’t reached body acceptance or body positivity or body respect or whatever else you want to call it. It doesn’t mean you’re destined to hate your body forever. It just means that in a certain moment, you’re feeling some feelings and you’re taking it out on your body.
Embrace it. Those moments when you’re feeling less than great about your body help you grow. It helps you realize how wonderful and special your body truly is.
