You Are so Much More Than Your Eating Disorder

you are so much more than your eating disorder

It’s easy to let your eating disorder become your identity. After all, it becomes such a big part of your life.
But part of recovery is discovering who you are without your eating disorder. What do you like? What don’t you like? What’s your favorite color? Where would you like to travel? What makes you laugh? What’s your hidden talent? A great activity if you’re struggling with your identity without your eating disorder is to write an “about me” for yourself without any mention of your eating disorder or other mental or physical disorders. If that’s too hard, ask someone close to you to write one for you.
You are so much more than your illnesses.

  1. Hey

    Hope you are doing well.

Not sure if I have sent this request before.

I am scheduling Mental Health Awareness re-blogs for the month of May, can I share a blog post of yours that’s related to the subject in any way.

Your words can help educate the readers on the subject and give validation to the ones traveling in the same boat.

    Thank you! 🙂

  2. These are all really good questions that I don’t know the answers to! I’m trying to find out who I am, but it’s going to be a long, hard process to let this go. I don’t even know if I’m willing to go into recovery, to be honest, because this is all I’ve known for so long and I’m worried that I won’t know who I am without it.

I started my blog ( to share my experiences and my journey with other people, to hope that it helps me in some way while also helping others. I know that there’s so much more than this, but it’s harder to believe than one would think.
