You do not need to earn the right to eat food. You still deserve to eat today and you don’t have to earn the foods you enjoy and that make you feel good. You still deserve to eat today no matter what!
No one has it 100% together, but most people only post when they do. So remember that that “perfect” person you idolize (or maybe loathe), is probably not so perfect after all.
As Theodore Roosevelt once said, “comparison is the thief of joy”. Is there anything more true than that statement? How many times have you been feeling pretty good about your accomplishments, only to see what someone else is doing and instantly feel bad about yourself? The comparison you see online or hear about in person truly is the thief of your joy.
Most people are just figuring it out as they go along. We all make mistakes and learn from them. Or we have great successes and learn from them as well.
So take some comfort in knowing that you’re not the only one winging it. Life is weird. And we’re all still learning.
Happy Easter! But for some of us it can be really hard to get into the holiday spirit. Things like grief, illness, finances, and other life circumstances can get in the way for people who celebrate the holiday.
Grief hurts. Whether it’s the loss of a person, the loss of self, the loss of a relationship/a house/a job/an opportunity, etc. it can hit you at any time without warning. It can be years after the loss. Yes, it hurts. Yes, it’s normal. And yes, you will heal.
