You Do Not Lack Willpower Because You Ate a Cookie (or 12)

you do not lack willpower because you ate a cookie or 12

Just dropping in to remind you that you don’t lack willpower for eating an extra pancake, drinking a latte, eating the kids’ leftovers, or having a cookie (or 12).
You might lack the permission to allow yourself all foods. You might lack the ability to feel fullness. You might lack the ability to feel satisfaction from foods.
But you do not lack willpower. Because that’s not what eating is about, although diet culture has convinced us all we can’t control ourselves around food and it’s easier to blame the individual and keep them coming back to dieting.
